Outline

The purpose of this conference is to facilitate the exchange of research information related to the development and application of luminescence and electron spin resonance methods, and their applications in solid-state physics, archaeology, geology, geomorphology, planetary sciences, and meteoritics.

Novel and interdisciplinary contributions in emerging areas will also be welcome. While the conference primarily focuses on the Asia-Pacific region, it will welcome participants from all over the world.

The first APLED conference was held at the University of Hong Kong in October 2006, followed by:

• 2nd APLED: Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, India (2009)
• 3rd APLED: Okayama, Japan (2012)
• 4th APLED: Adelaide, Australia (2015)
• 5th APLED: Beijing, China (2018)
• 6th APLED: Online (Ankara, Turkey, 2022)

The 7th APLED will take place September 21-24, 2025, on Jeju Island, South Korea.

The COVID-19 pandemic led to an online format for the previous 2022 APLED conference, this proposed meeting in Jeju Island will provide an invaluable opportunity for researchers to meet in person once again. We propose it to be an inspiring and dynamic event, fostering information exchange, collaborative research, and networking among scholars in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
